Hongkong Bankruptcy Application Increased 13% In October

The Hongkong bankruptcy administration announced that the number of applications for bankruptcy in Hongkong rose by 12.94% to 986 in October, up 5.91% on a year by year basis, and the issuance of bankruptcy orders decreased by 43.06% on a monthly basis, reducing by 34.33% to 656 per year. The application for compulsory liquidation increased 50% to 66 per annualized year.

In the first 10 months, the cumulative number of bankruptcy applications decreased by 3.04% to 9063 per annualized year, and the cumulative bankruptcy order fell by 9.74% to 8808 per annualized year.
