PEW said on Sunday that countries like India have excess cotton and they can export.

However, Pakistan is short of cotton and should not export large quantities of raw materials.

The United States is a major player.

Exporting countries, because the value added industries of the United States are inadequate.

But a country like Pakistan has 3 million people working in the garment industry, so Pakistan can no longer export cotton or yarn.

Multazamo M, President of PEW Dr. (Dr. Murtaza Mughal), said that the competition countries are using yarn imported from Pakistan to gradually squeeze out the international garment market.

He said that Pakistan accounted for 1% of the world trade in apparel trade of 396 billion, while its share in the yarn market was as high as 30%. Although it is good for making money, it is very dangerous in the long run.

Multazamo M (Dr. Murtaza Mughal) said that the yarn factory should not be allowed to build new factories or expand its existing capacity. Only in this way can we achieve the goal of US $25 billion export of textiles in 2014.

He said that the yarn export earned 2.20 dollars per kilogram, while clothing export earned 12 dollars per kilogram.

However, Pakistan exports about 8 billion tons of yarn per year, which is surprising.

This trend is turning Pakistan into a raw material supply country, causing the garment industry to get into trouble and eventually lead to a large number of workers losing their jobs.
