France'S Textile And Garment Import And Export Situation Is Worrying In The First Quarter Of This Year.

According to the French "textile daily" reported in June 10th, France's textile and apparel trade situation in the first quarter of this year is not optimistic, and textile exports are seriously declining.

Because of the weak domestic consumer market, the import of textile and clothing also showed a downward trend.

1, the first quarter of the French clothing exports to 2 billion 100 million euros, an increase of 1% over the same period.

Export growth to the EU is zero.

Exports to other countries outside the European Union grew by 4%, to 11% and 33% respectively for Russia and Arabia.

Spain, Italy, Belgium and Germany are the top 4 countries in France's exports. Although the top two have dropped by 2% and 1% respectively, exports to Belgium have increased by 11% and Germany's growth by 8%.

On the contrary, under the influence of currency fluctuations, exports to the United Kingdom dropped by 16%, the United States decreased by 11%, and Japan dropped by 17%.

But exports to Poland surged by 49% (Fourteenth place).

2, France imported 3 billion 800 million euros in the first quarter, down 2% from the same period last year.

In the first quarter of this year, China ranked the first in terms of clothing imports from France.

Compared with 2007, India's export to France increased by 3% to become the fourth supplier of law, followed by Thailand's growth of 8% (twelfth) and Indonesia's 10% (17). Hongkong did not enter the top 20.

From Mediterranean countries, exports to French clothing increased by 5%, Tunisia increased by 3% (ranked third) over Turkey and India, Morocco increased by 4% (sixth), and Turkey grew by 9%.

France's imports from Spain dropped sharply to 47%.

Imports from newly joined Romania (eleventh) and Bulgaria (eighteenth) increased by 31% and 32% respectively.

3, French textile exports in the first quarter amounted to 1 billion 300 million euros, down 8% from the same period last year.

Exports to Asian countries dropped by 15%, 2% to Mediterranean countries, 11% to Belgium (France's first place), 25% to China (thirteenth place), fourth and fifth for Italy and Spain, 18% and 17% respectively.

4, French textile imports in the first quarter amounted to 1 billion 600 million euros, down 6% from the same period last year, falling by 7% from EU imports, and by 4% from EU countries.

With the decline in imports from most countries, China has become the third supplier of France, with an increase of 3% from China.

Italy, Germany, Belgium and Spain fell to 5%, 8%, 5% and 12% respectively, and the 4 countries and China were the top 5 suppliers.

The import of Poland from France increased by 10%, mainly from the import of household fabrics.
