Myanmar Times reported that Myanmar is about to sign an agreement with the Netherlands to export local traditional textile products to the European market. Khun aye Naing, director of the Bureau of industry, said that Myanmar's Ministry of Commerce and the European Union's national import Center for promoting development will sign the agreement in the near future to help Myanmar's cotton clothing, accessories and household goods export to the European market. Director K said at the small line meeting that Myanmar needs to prepare and pursue high-quality and high value-added products rather than cheap products. There is not only a demand for traditional clothing in the international market, but also a demand for its traditional accessories. Therefore, Myanmar needs to produce high quality home textiles and accessories.

Saungdar school operates 14 basic and advanced textile schools in rural areas of Myanmar. The school preserves traditional weaving techniques and imparts them to students. Although Myanmar needs to rely on the creation of business and employment opportunities, Myanmar still imports large quantities of ready-made clothes from neighboring countries, according to director K. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to pass on the traditional skills to the younger generation. The government will continue to hold relevant vocational training courses and encourage the development of enterprises and traditional textile industry.
