Faced with great embarrassment, today, the international anti fake alliance suspended the membership of Alibaba.

The core reason for the suspension of the membership of Alibaba is the major

brand

It is worried about its counterfeiting commitments.

In April 13th, the Alibaba announced its entry into the international anti fake Alliance (IACC).

However, the IACC Board recently received an anonymous e-mail asking IACC to cancel Alibaba membership, or there would be a large number of IACC members withdrawing from the alliance.

Already fashionable brands Mike Kors (Michael Korsy) and luxury brand Gucci (Gucci America) have announced their withdrawal from IACC.

In a letter to IACC, Mike Coles said that when many brands consider that Alibaba can increase their anti counterfeiting efforts through lawsuits, accepting them as members will "cover up our most dangerous and destructive competitors".

Mike Coles's general counsel, Lee Siborne (Lee Sporn), pointed out: "Alibaba's consistent strategy is to support false fighting, but the actual action is not keeping up with it."

Gucci said that luxury brand Gucci did not want to sit at a table with Alibaba in the fight against counterfeit products.

Alibaba emphasized that in the Ali group, more than 2000 employees were full-time in charge of counterfeiting, and another 5000 social volunteers participated in the fight against counterfeiting. The funds invested more than 1 billion yuan.

Just yesterday, The Associated Press's latest survey shows that IACC president holds a stake in Alibaba and is closely related to a key vice president of Alibaba, and allows family members to operate IACC.

1, since the listing of Alibaba in New York in 2014, IACC President Bachs has held shares in Alibaba.

IACC said in a statement that the shareholding is only a small part of his portfolio.

2, in January this year, Matthew Bashir, vice president of Alibaba global intellectual property rights (Matthew Bassiur), hired Robert Baki J S Robert Barchiesi II to join apple in 2011.

Alibaba said hiring Bashir was based entirely on his ability.

Apple declined to comment.

Kristina Montanaro Schrader, a former employee of IACC and a fake lawyer, said: "many brands worry that Alibaba will become a member of IACC, and the personal relationship between the two sides will affect IACC's ability to objectively criticize Alibaba."

With the international anti fake alliance suspending the membership of Alibaba, it also means that Gucci and other big brands won.
