Anhui Quality Inspection: More Than 60% Children'S Clothing Failed

In the second quarter of this year, the Provincial Bureau of industry and Commerce conducted a quality inspection of children's clothing. 25 of the 39 children's clothing samples from Huainan, Bengbu, Lu'an, Hefei and other markets were found to be unqualified, and the overall unqualified rate was 64%. The main unqualified items were formaldehyde, pH value, color fastness, fiber content and product use instructions.

Industry and commerce department analysis pointed out that formaldehyde content exceeding standard will reduce human immune function, cause a variety of diseases; pH unqualified clothing directly contact with human skin may change the weak acidic environment of human skin, and make it lose the function of inhibiting bacteria; the color fastness to moisture and rubbing mainly indicates that the clothing products are easy to fade and affect the appearance; the reason for the failure of fiber content is that some businesses use less valuable fibers to impersonate higher value fibers.

Fraudulent practices; in addition, some of the clothes used are unqualified, resulting in consumers unable to obtain accurate information when purchasing such products.

In this regard, the commerce and industry department reminds consumers that when buying children's clothing, we should pay attention to see whether the logo is complete.

When choosing clothes, you can smell whether there is any peculiar smell. If there is a stimulating smell, you should not buy it. You can also use a napkin to rub on the fabric to see whether it is fading or not.
