Pakistan Textile Association Appealed To Lighten Industry Tax

< p > the Pakistan Textile Enterprise Association (APTMA) recently discussed with the textile industry minister Abaskhan Avri the problems facing the country's textile industry.

Mohamed, chairman of P > APTMA, said that in the man-made fiber sector, Pakistan lacks materials such as acrylic, viscose, bamboo fiber and Lycra for the manufacture of special man-made fibers.

The import tax on these products is subject to a 5% import tax, which increases the cost pressure of textile enterprises.

Mohamed said that in Pakistan's textile industry, the utilization rate of man-made fibers was less than 20%, while in other textile producing countries, its utilization rate was as high as 60%.
