The Italy leather exhibition is one of the largest leather and shoe materials fairs in Europe. It was founded in 1981 and is held two times a year in April and October in Bologna Convention and Exhibition Center. Of the exhibits, leather accounted for 50%, shoe materials / Accessories / synthetic materials accounted for 35%, leather machinery / Footwear Machinery accounted for 15%.

The Italy leather exhibition not only shows the latest products and trend information in the two seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter, but also highlights the most important international supply and demand relationship. The exhibition provides a meeting place for more than 50000 companies in the leather industry. The turnover in the global leather industry 40% of the volume of nearly 113 billion dollars is completed at this exhibition. The exhibition at the last exhibition area was more than 39764 square meters. There were nearly 1039 exhibitors from 29 countries (309 tanneries, 414 parts, 95 synthetic materials, 14 design institutes, and 7 others), of which 47% were exhibitors in Italy and 53% were international exhibitors. The exhibition will be attended by nearly 20000 professional customers, from more than 100 countries and regions, the transaction results are good, the implementation rate is high, the transaction price is higher.
