The strikers demanded 1600 rupees / monthly wages as a temporary wage adjustment.

The head of the labour department and the TLA of the textile workers association held a meeting with the heads of the Ahmedabad Textile Mills Association on Monday to consider the demands of the workers.

Arvind group's Ankur, Ashima and Asarawa textile factory more than 6000 workers strike, demanding a 40% increase in wages.

The strike began in June 4th at the Arvind group Naroda plant, and workers decided to go on strike before the wage rises.

However, the question of wage increase has been submitted to the court. Therefore, the workers have asked for a temporary wage adjustment.

Informed sources said that most textile mills had agreed to 800 rupees as a temporary wage adjustment, but the workers refused to accept the salary.

The Secretary General of the TLA said: "workers tell us that before the court decides on the wage increase, if the factory agrees to temporarily adjust wages to the workers, they will end the strike."
