South African Wool Prices Rise Again

At the auction this week,

The growth of wool prices continued for a week with the Australian market. The Australian wool market index rose to the highest level in 18 years. It has strong demand for fine wool and better type wool, especially from European demand, and the concern for supply is the main driving force.

South African Rand's exchange rate with the US dollar reached 6.86 Rand, falling to 9.23 Rand with the euro rate.

This week, 98% of the 13614 bales of wool were sold.

The main buyers are standard Wool Company (4316 bales), Modiano company (4230 packages), Lempriere company (2151 packages), Stucken company (1856 package).

Fine wool (20 micron and finer wool) showed the largest growth, and the average price of 19 micron (MF5) reached 100 RAND / kg.

The price trend of high-quality long shearing (MF5) (less than 1%) is as follows: 19 microns increased by 13.4%, reaching 104.12 RAND / kg; 19.5 microns increased by 12.7%, reaching 94.06 RAND / kg; 20 micrometers increased by 7%, reaching 80.99 RAND / kg; 20.5 microns rose to 20.5, reaching the RT / kg; the rise of the sink micron reached the level of blue RAND / kg; the rise of the micron reached the level of the orchid / kg; and the rise of the micron reached to the blue and kilogram.

At the auction next week, the quantity of wool provided is about 7500 bales.
