Manufacturers expect the price growth in December to reach a record high this week, due to the steady and stable demand for feed prices, market sources said on Wednesday.

In November 9th, a record price rose by 80-120 US dollars / ton, reaching US $2930-3000 / ton, and the cost and freight China price, according to data from the international chemical information consultancy organization (ICIS).

This growth is based on the stable price of caprolactam feedstock, and sellers and purchasers said.

The stable demand for nylon chips is supported by the downstream nylon department in the peak manufacturing season of this month, sellers and buyers said.

The previous peak was from mid May 2010 to mid June, when the price reached $2880-2900 / ton.

China's price dropped to 2600-2650 US dollars / ton in June, which was due to the drop in feed prices.

Since then, the price has climbed steadily, and the total increase has reached 12.7-13.2%.

Most of the retailers were booked in November. Most of the pactions were in the range of 2930-2970 US dollars / ton, and the average cost and freight China price was $2950 / ton, and the cost plus freight China price.

In addition, on Monday, about 10000 tons of Taiwan's materials were priced at US $3000 / ton, CFR China price.

This week's sales index stands at US $3000-3050 / ton, CFR China price.

However, buyers are reluctant to comment on the contract in December, unless the caprolactam has enough power to rise to more than 3000 US dollars / ton, at least the psychological barrier of CFR China price.

Most nylon slicing producers are still under huge cost pressure. They control the commodities in December to expect prices to rise again.

Most markets expect that once the caprolactam contract price is announced in late December, sellers will raise their prices to maintain their profits. 11

Market participants expect the gap between caprolactam and nylon to expand by 250-300 US dollars / ton to maintain production profits.

The contract price of caprolactam in November reached US $2680-2720 / ton at the final stage of consultation. The cost plus freight rate was in the Northeast Asian price, and the price was $2730-2750 / ton, the cost plus freight Northeast Asia price.

Nylon 6 is widely used in making socks, knitted garments, lines, ropes, filaments, nets and tires.

The textile sector has brought price pressures to all relevant chemical chains, including polyester and commercial PTA.

Caprolactam is an intermediate, mainly used to produce nylon 6 fiber, plastic and other polymer materials.
