Putian Holds Talks To Help Export Shoe Enterprises Cope With Trade Barriers Between Europe And America

The design center jointly organized the "seminar on footwear enterprises' response to environmental regulations and safety requirements in Europe and America", attracting managers from more than 100 shoe companies from Putian and surrounding jurisdictions to attend the lecture.

China's footwear export enterprises are facing more and more pressure and export risks, which lead to the related foreign notification and return of Chinese footwear exports. The main reason is that most manufacturers lack knowledge of import and export laws and regulations, and most of them are over two of fumaric acid methyl ester (DMFu), which accounts for a higher proportion of the recall due to chemical hazards.
Putian, known as "China shoe city", is the "China footwear export base" and exports to as many as 143 countries and regions.
At present, the footwear industry has become the largest pillar industry in Putian, maintaining an annual growth rate of over 15%. In the 1 to August this year, the total value of footwear exports in Putian was 1 billion 250 million dollars, accounting for 76% of total exports.
At present, Putian inspection and Quarantine Bureau's national footwear inspection center is an important task to help shoe manufacturers to enhance their ability to cope with technical barriers to trade.
The lecture was specially invited by TUVSUD and senior experts from the national footwear inspection center. The lecture focused on the European Union ban on fumaric acid two methyl ester, the EU's further restriction on the use of organotin compounds, the requirements of the consumer goods Improvement Act of the United States and the new safety requirements for footwear.
Finally, the experts also exchanged with everyone, and answered the questions raised by managers of shoe enterprises. The atmosphere was lively and the applause continued.
The organizers said that the three party cooperation of this seminar will focus on the organic unity of the situation and content, cooperation and service, and will play a positive role in improving the ability of shoe enterprises to resist risks.
