Argentina'S Inflation Rate Rose The Biggest In June

According to the Buenos Aires Herald, on July 16th, Argentina's National Bureau of Statistics recently released data showing that inflation rose by 0.7% in June, driven by rising prices of clothing, food and leisure products. The largest increase in clothing industry and leisure products were 1.2% and 1.1% respectively, with alcoholic beverages rising 1.7%. Food prices increased by 0.8%, and sugar, honey, confectionery and cocoa products increased by 1.6%.


Meanwhile, local economists believe that the actual inflation rate in Argentina should be 1.3-1.9% in June.
