The market is mature, stable and consolidated, and global sales are expected to exceed US $1 trillion and 390 billion in the same period in 2015.

The United States ranks first in global sales, followed by Europe.

Luxury sales rose in Japan in 2015.

Sales are also growing in South Korea, but Hongkong and Macao are experiencing a slide in luxury sales due to the impact of corruption.

Of the 140 cities surveyed, Tommy Hilfiger stores set up stores in 94% of the cities, Levi's set up stores in 92% of the cities, Nike and Hugo Boss had stores in 91% of the cities, while Zara set up stores in 89% of the cities, Swatch, Louis Vuitton, The Louis, and ten respectively.

Naveen Jaggi, President of JLL retail business, said

Market ranking

Top retailers open stores in all the world's top gateway cities.

The top ten retail cities are London, Hongkong, Paris, Dubai, New York, Shanghai, Singapore, Beijing, Kuwait and Tokyo.

The most international brand city is Tokyo, occupying 44%.

Hongkong 40%, Shanghai 39%, Beijing, New York, London, Paris 37%, Kuwait 36% and Dubai 35%.

Naveen Jaggi says that luxury Street outlets in some cities are also decreasing, pointing out that consumers choose more extreme shopping according to the high price or value proposition of retailers.

Manhattan

The fifth street is the highest price per square foot, followed by Guangdong road in Hongkong and Avenue Montaigne in Paris.

The recent economic slowdown in emerging markets has consolidated the expansion plans of some retailers. Emerging markets are still targeted. But unlike the past, emerging markets are attractive. Over the years, emerging economies such as Brazil, Russia, India and China have since taken a major blow in Brazil. China has grown from a growth and emerging country to a mature market in just 10 years.

Naveen Jaggi points out that one way to reduce emerging markets is to use global chains to expand. The company has witnessed many retailers' successful cases of using franchised stores to expand globally, including Debenhams department in Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey and other countries, H&M in Indonesia, and Gap in the Middle East and Asian markets.
